Location can be so important in Milwaukee senior portrait photography. It sets the tone and mood of the photo. High schoolers have different personalities and choosing the right location for their high school senior portrait session is fun! I have done senior photo sessions in diverse settings including nature, urban, parks, the beach, and a football field. We are so lucky to live in an area full of so many backdrops to choose from!
Here are 3 of my favorite spots for senior photography in Milwaukee:
but I’m always looking for more ideas and inspiration so feel free to suggest some new locations to check out!:
1. Audubon Nature Center in Bayside: I have a special connection to Audubon. It is exactly 7 minutes from my driveway to their parking lot which I know because both my daughters have attended classes, preschool and camp there since birth! It is so beautiful and peaceful there and not so big that it can feel overwhelming. There are a few bridges, boardwalks, benches, prairies, lakes and even a path to Lake Michigan.
2. Lime Kiln Park in Grafton: I just love this park for all kinds of photo sessions! There is a beautiful bridge, huge stone walls, a wooded area and a path to a river. So many different backgrounds to use in one session!
3. Downtown Cedarburg: Downtown Cedarburg is so picturesque. I love the colorful doorways and unique architecture plus the gorgeous bridge over the river. This is another spot to get a variety of backgrounds in your photos.
I love talking to seniors and their parents and figuring out the best place to showcase their personality!
