I’m so glad you found me!

Just like you, I bet, I love to take photos. Ok, I admit, a lot of them are of my cat. She’s just always there looking so adorable and I can’t help but take another photo of her. I also take lots of photos of my two girls, who as they have gotten older, do not always want photos of themselves! But that is why I started studying photography. My first baby was just so cute and so smiley so I got out my good camera and started posing her and taking photos. And that led to really learning how to use my camera and then wanting to take photos of other families just for fun. Lots of time and education later I now have turned my hobby into a business I absolutely love! Like sometimes I jump up and down in happiness (when no one is looking) because I love taking photos of other people so much.

I come to each photo session prepared to have fun and to find those moments of joy and connection. Because that’s how I see the world, how we relate to each other and how we connect. But I don’t just have a fun time, edit your photos and then send them to you for you to sift through them yourself. Because I know that’s overwhelming. And as a busy mom I know that I don’t have time for more overwhelm so I don’t want to make my clients feel that. And I don’t want these gorgeous photos that you planned for so carefully to just stay stuck on your computer. I want you to view your images as artwork daily in your home. I want you to be able to see your family, whether we did newborn photos, whole family photos, or senior photos together, every day. I want your children to see themselves valued in wall portraits or albums.

My girls and I love looking at albums together and remembering how it felt at that time in our lives. I love seeing their sweet faces from years ago as I walk through the upstairs hallway past their portraits. I have portraits of each of my girls side by side that are years apart but show the same big smile. Except for the one of  my oldest daughter at age 3, who just wasn’t into having photos taken that day. She has her arms tightly crossed and a big frown on her face. But that was her personality at that age and I loved the photo so much that it hangs on my wall to this day because it reminds me of her at that age.

I love families. I love meeting new families and reconnecting with past clients at each photo session. I didn’t know I loved high school seniors as much as I love babies and toddlers until I started photographing them! I love funny 4 year olds and serious middle schoolers. Most of all I love showing my clients their photos and seeing how much they love them, and helping them to choose the ones that speak to them the most to print and display.

“Wendy is absolutely fantastic. Her inherent knowledge of what backdrops/contrasts will really pop is truly stunning.

She is also incredibly personable and seems to truly care about her clients. I can confidently say that Wendy’s professionalism and skill is a breath of fresh air.

She is also great at following up after the photos and sending them to you as soon as they are done.”
